Glass bottle – medicine bottle with aluminium cap represents a reliable packaging for various types of liquid preparations, such as cosmetic serums, oils, tinctures or concentrated solutions. Thanks to precise closing by means of a high-quality aluminium cap, it helps protect the contents against leakage, contamination and unwanted contact with air. The smooth surface and clean design of the bottle are suitable for artisanal, small and professional product batches, with the packaging looking aesthetic and professional in every brand portfolio.
Glass medicine bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, atomisers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (tightness, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) in order to verify the behaviour of the packaging with your specific product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass bottle is made from a material that is generally stable even with formulations containing alcohol or active substances. However, we always recommend performing a trial filling, during which you verify the behaviour of the specific formula over time (colour, scent, any sediment). For products with a higher alcohol content or a distinctly acidic or alkaline pH, it is advisable to test long-term storage as well, under conditions similar to real use.
The glass packaging can be used repeatedly if hygienic principles are observed. Before every new filling, it is necessary to clean the bottle and cap thoroughly and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example by using the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after complete drying and evaporation of the alcohol should you fill the bottle again. When changing the type of product (for example from a cosmetic oil to an aqueous serum) we recommend a test filling to verify scent and compatibility.
Before reuse, first mechanically remove residues of the original product, rinse the bottle with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent and rinse thoroughly so that no detergent residues remain. Then choose disinfection with alcohol – it is practical to pour or spray the inside and the neck of the packaging with a preparation based on isopropyl alcohol or ethanol (e.g. products available in the Handymade range), allow it to act and then dry thoroughly. Clean caps with seals more gently and avoid long-term soaking in hot water so that their functionality is not impaired.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the composition of materials specified in the product parameters. The glass part can usually be sorted into the appropriate glass container once product residues have been removed. The metal aluminium cap should be sorted with metals if local collection allows it. Always follow local waste sorting rules and the information given with the specific product on the Handymade website so that recycling is as effective as possible.
To select a suitable bottle, jar or pot, we recommend using the extended filter located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. Using the filter, you can easily narrow down the offer according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour and packaging material. This will help you to find more quickly the packaging that will match your formulation, method of application and brand visual.
