Glass bottle – white medicine bottle is a universal packaging suitable for filling cosmetic as well as technical mixtures where cleanliness, precise dosing and a professional appearance are important. The opaque white glass helps protect more sensitive contents from light and ensures more stable conditions during storage. Thanks to the durable glass, this small bottle is suitable for liquid and drop-based formulations that require reliable protection, easy handling and long-term preservation of the product’s properties.
Glass bottles – medicine bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators), depending on the parameters selected when ordering. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The opaque white glass medicine bottle is suitable for many more sensitive cosmetic formulations, because glass is a stable packaging material and the white finish helps to reduce light penetration. It is always necessary, however, to verify the compatibility of the specific recipe with the packaging by a storage test, ideally under conditions similar to real use (temperature, handling method, storage duration).
The glass medicine bottle can be used repeatedly if strict hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol (products available as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based). Only after complete drying is the bottle ready for further use.
We recommend verifying compatibility by filling part of the formulation into the glass bottle together with the selected closure or dispenser and leaving it to stand for some time under the planned storage conditions. Monitor any changes in colour, odour, consistency, precipitation, clogging of the dispenser or changes in tightness. If the properties of both the product and the packaging remain without visible changes, the combination is more suitable for long-term use.
Before first use, we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle (rinsing it with a suitable cleaning agent, thoroughly rinsing with water) and then disinfecting it with an alcohol-based product, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let the inside of the bottle dry completely so that no residual moisture or alcohol odour remains in the packaging, which could affect the final product.
If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend recycling it according to the material stated in the product parameters. Glass packaging is usually placed in containers designated for glass; plastic or metal closures should be separated from the bottle and sorted according to their material into the appropriate collection containers. Before placing it in sorted waste, empty the packaging as much as possible so that no residues of the contents remain.
To select a suitable bottle or other packaging, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. In the advanced filter it is possible to clearly combine several criteria – for example neck type, required size, colour and packaging material. In this way you can quickly narrow down the offer only to those packages that best match the character of your product and the planned dosing method.
