Glass is generally a very stable packaging material and is well suitable for formulations containing alcohol or essential oils. For each specific formulation, however, we recommend producing a test sample, monitoring the behaviour of the product over time and verifying compatibility not only with the glass body but also with the plastic parts of the sprayer (seals, dip tube, mechanism). In the case of high concentrations of essential oils or active substances, a stability test is particularly important.

The packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly rinsing the bottle, removing residues of the original product and then disinfecting it with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. For the sprayer, we recommend flushing it with a suitable liquid (e.g. an alcohol compatible with the material used) and allowing it to dry completely. Before reusing, always check the functionality of the mechanism and the cleanliness of all parts.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material specified in the parameter table on the product page. After emptying and basic rinsing, place the glass part of the bottle in the separate glass collection. The plastic parts of the sprayer (head, cap, internal components) should be separated and placed in a container intended for plastic, unless local waste-sorting rules specify otherwise. Sprayers are designed mainly for low-viscosity liquids such as water-based sprays, toners or light fluid mixtures. For thicker or highly oily formulations, there may be a reduction in spray quality or clogging of the nozzle. Before filling a final batch, we recommend testing the product in a smaller quantity, verifying consistency, behaviour during longer storage and the regular cleaning of the nozzle, or considering another type of dosing (pump, dropper) suitable for the given viscosity.
