For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Disinfection is crucial to minimize microbial contamination and to maintain the safety of the final product.

Before first use we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle (rinsing with a suitable medium according to the nature of the formulation) and then disinfecting it. The glass container can be rinsed with distilled or deionized water and, after drying, disinfected with an alcohol solution, for example using IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or 96% plant ethanol. For the spray mechanism it is appropriate to spray the disinfectant through the nozzle so that the entire interior of the dosing system is flushed. Before filling, make sure that all parts are dry and free of residues of cleaning agents.

The nasal spray is most suitable for low-viscosity aqueous or hydroalcoholic solutions that can be evenly dispersed into a fine mist. For thicker or oily formulations, dosing may be impaired or the nozzle may become clogged, so it is necessary to carry out a compatibility and dosing functionality test before serial filling. We also recommend verifying the stability of your formula in contact with the glass and the plastic parts of the mechanism within your own trial filling.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types indicated in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can, after emptying and basic cleaning, generally be placed in a container intended for glass. The spray mechanism is composed of a mixture of plastic and metal components, so it usually cannot be recycled together with the glass; it is appropriate to separate it and dispose of it as ordinary municipal or sorted plastic waste according to local rules. When handling, always respect local waste-sorting guidelines and the information provided with the product.
