Glass bottle – Boston pharmaceutical bottle with safety cap represents a professional and reliable solution for packaging sensitive liquid preparations. Thanks to the pharmaceutical “Boston” shape and precise screw closure with safety cap, it is ideal for dispensing products where control, protection and hygienic sealing of the contents are important. The smooth glass surface allows easy labelling and legible product identification, which is important both for cosmetic manufacturing and for preparations intended for sale.
This type of glass pharmaceutical bottle is suitable for packaging liquid and slightly viscous formulations that require a stable, chemically inert and reusable container. The robust glass combined with the safety cap helps minimise the risk of undesirable leakage, contamination or accidental opening, which will be appreciated by small craft workshops, home producers and smaller manufacturers of supplementary product ranges.
This glass bottle – pharmaceutical bottle is designed to be compatible with multiple types of caps and dispensing systems with the corresponding thread. Thanks to the safety closure and pharmaceutical shape, it is easy to handle, easy to fill and looks professional even in small series. We recommend planning your filling method (funnel, dosing syringe, etc.) in order to minimise contamination of the neck and ensure a clean appearance of the final product.
The bottle can be used repeatedly if hygienic principles are followed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, which you can find on Handymade.sk in the disinfectant alcohols category. After disinfection, allow the container to dry completely and only then refill it, in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and deterioration of the product.
First, rinse the bottle thoroughly with warm water and a mild cleaning agent and remove all residues of the previous contents. Then rinse it with clean water so that no cleaner residues remain in the container. After mechanical cleaning, it is advisable to disinfect the bottle with alcohol – for this purpose we recommend using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, which are available on Handymade.sk. Pour an appropriate amount of alcohol into the bottle, shake it or rinse it thoroughly with it, or apply it using a sterile syringe or spray. After disinfection, allow the container to dry naturally in a clean place upside down, so that all alcohol residues evaporate before further use.
If you decide not to reuse the container, we recommend recycling it according to the material types listed in the product parameters. After removing any remaining contents and rinsing, the glass part of the bottle should be taken to glass collection in the appropriate fraction (usually a container intended for packaging glass). The safety plastic cap is sorted according to the type of plastic indicated in the product parameter – typically this is a plastic intended for the container for plastic packaging. Before placing it in the container, check your local waste sorting rules, as individual municipalities may have specific requirements regarding contamination level and preparation of packaging for recycling.
