Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and residues of the previous product. For disinfection we recommend using high-quality alcohol solutions, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based, in accordance with the recommendations for your formula and the type of raw materials used.

When selecting a closure or dispenser, we recommend first purchasing a smaller number of pieces and carrying out your own compatibility test. Check that the closure fits exactly onto the bottle, does not leak when shaken or during transport, and that the dosing (dripping, spraying, flow) corresponds to the viscosity and type of your product. The test should also include short-term storage of the filled bottle under the conditions in which your products will actually be used.

Before reusing the bottle, it is advisable first to remove product residues using a suitable cleaning procedure (for example by rinsing with warm water and detergent, or using a suitable solvent depending on the type of product). Then the packaging must be thoroughly rinsed with clean water, left to dry, and disinfected before refilling – the use of alcohol-based products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based is recommended. After disinfection, let the packaging dry completely at room temperature.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in sorted collection according to the material designation given in the product parameters. In general, an empty glass bottle without product residues belongs in the container designated for glass, while plastic or metal closures are sorted separately according to their material. Before placing it in sorted waste, it is advisable to remove visible residues of the contents from the packaging and separate the individual components (bottle, closure, any gaskets) according to local recycling rules.
