The glass medicine bottle with ribbed child-resistant closure is a professional packaging solution for liquid preparations, cosmetic formulations and concentrated blends where precise handling and reliable sealing are important. The dark glass helps protect sensitive contents from the effects of light, thus contributing to the stability of the composition and a longer shelf life of the product. The safety closure with a child-resistant feature is designed to help reduce the risk of accidental opening, which you will appreciate especially for stronger concentrates, active substances or aromatic preparations.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) depending on the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, the glass medicine bottle is also suitable for more concentrated formulations such as active serums, aromatic blends or oil extracts, where stable and chemically resistant packaging is required. The dark glass helps limit the effect of light on the contents and the ribbed child-resistant closure contributes to reliable sealing. Before filling, we always recommend verifying the compatibility of the specific formulation with the glass and the type of closure used.
The packaging can be used repeatedly, provided that basic hygiene rules are observed and the bottle is suitable for the given type of product. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use products available on Handymade, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. When switching to another type of contents (e.g. from oil-based to water-based), always check that no residues of the previous product remain in the packaging.
Before reuse, it is advisable first to rinse the bottle thoroughly with a suitable cleaning solution or a mild detergent, then rinse with clean water and allow it to dry. Before the final filling, we recommend disinfection with alcohol, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Spread the disinfectant over the inner surface of the packaging, allow it to act and then let the packaging air out completely and dry so that it does not affect the fragrance or stability of the filled product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition indicated in the product parameters. After emptying and basic rinsing, place the glass part of the bottle in the collection container designated for glass. Sort the closure, which is made of plastic material, according to the marking in accordance with local waste separation rules (usually into the container for plastics). Before handing it over for separated collection, it is advisable to remove any remaining contents to facilitate the recycling process and reduce the risk of contaminating other waste.
