However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test – verify sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the container in contact with the specific formulation (especially for products containing alcohol, acids, a high proportion of oils or active ingredients).

Can this glass medicine bottle be used repeatedly?

Yes, the glass bottle can be used repeatedly if handled correctly and if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol‑based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the new formulation.

How should I properly clean the glass bottle before further use?

First rinse the bottle mechanically with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent and remove residues of the original contents. Then rinse it thoroughly with clean water so that no traces of detergent remain. After drying, we recommend disinfecting the interior and, if necessary, also the closure with an alcohol solution, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based, and allowing it to evaporate. Only then is the container ready for new filling.

How should I correctly recycle the glass medicine bottle if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the container, we recommend recycling it according to the recommended material in the product parameters. The glass bottle is normally disposed of in the container designated for glass. Before handing it over for recycling, it is advisable to remove any remaining contents and, where possible, also labels or adhesive residues. Closures or elements made from other materials (plastic, metal) should ideally be sorted separately according to local separated‑waste collection rules.

Is this bottle also suitable for concentrated aromatic or active components?

The glass medicine bottle is, thanks to the stability of the material, also suitable for preparations containing concentrated aromatic or active substances, provided they are correctly formulated and used according to the recommendations of the raw‑material suppliers. For highly concentrated compositions (for example perfume bases, high proportions of essential oils, acids) we always recommend testing the compatibility of the container with the specific formula, including checking the sealing of the selected closure or dropper.
