Yes, the packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Only after complete drying and evaporation of the alcohol is the bottle ready for refilling.
The dropper bottle is ideal for concentrated facial and hair serums, oils, active solutions, essential oils in diluted blends and other liquid formulations where you need drop-by-drop dosing. Thanks to the quality of the glass, it is also suitable for formulas containing alcohol or a higher proportion of aromatic components, provided they are technologically compatible with this type of packaging.
Before both first and repeated use, we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle (rinsing, if necessary with a mild cleaning agent suitable for laboratory glass), rinsing thoroughly with drinking water and allowing it to dry. The packaging must then be disinfected with alcohol, for example using IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or 96% plant-based ethanol. After the alcohol has evaporated, the packaging is ready for filling. We recommend cleaning the dropper gently to avoid damaging the rubber or plastic part.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types specified in the product parameters. In most cases, the glass bottle can, after removal of any product residues and labels, be sorted into a container designated for glass, while parts of the dropper (plastic, rubber, possibly metal) should be separated and sorted according to local waste collection rules. Before recycling, it is important to empty the contents as much as possible in order to minimise contamination of the sorted waste.
