The tall frosted glass bottle with black–gold dropper represents an elegant and professional packaging solution for formulations that require precise dosing and protection from external influences. Thanks to the high-quality glass and dropper, it is suitable for filling liquid products where controlled drop-by-drop application, even dosing and minimisation of the content’s contact with air are important.
Frosted glass reduces light penetration and helps protect sensitive components from degradation when exposed to light during storage and use. In combination with the dropper, this bottle therefore provides a functional and aesthetic solution for cosmetic and professional formulations that require precision, hygiene and a representative appearance of the final product.
This glass bottle is supplied directly with a dropper, and the packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. When choosing a ready-made combination, you thus obtain a proven solution with optimised sealing and dosing for common types of formulations.
However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking the tightness of the closure, the proper function of the dropper and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific product formulation (viscosity, presence of volatile substances, long-term storage).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Glass is generally a very stable and inert material, which makes it suitable for formulations containing vegetable oils, essential oils or alcohol-based components. For every new formula we recommend performing your own compatibility test – filling a small amount of product, observing the behaviour of the packaging during storage and checking the function of the dropper with repeated use. In this way you verify that the given formulation is fully compatible with the packaging even during long-term storage.
The glass bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, any residues of the original product removed, and then disinfected. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 – isopropyl alkohol (ALK001) available at /ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/ or etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný (ALK002) available at /etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/. After rinsing with the disinfectant solution, allow the bottle and the dropper to dry thoroughly at room temperature. Only then is the packaging ready for refilling, ideally with products of a similar type (for example oil after oil), in order to avoid undesirable mixing of fragrances and residual substances.
If you decide not to use the bottle further, we recommend first emptying it and removing any remaining product. The glass body of the bottle can, after removal of impurities, be placed in the appropriate glass container according to local recycling rules. The dropper consists of several parts (plastic closure, dropper part and rubber or plastic part), which should, where possible, be separated before disposal and placed in plastic collection or mixed waste in accordance with the recommendations of the local waste sorting system. When recycling, always follow the information in the product parameters and local rules for separate collection so that the impact on the environment is as low as possible.
For more viscous formulations it is important to carry out a practical filling and dosing test. We recommend filling the bottle with a smaller volume of product, closing it with the dropper and turning it several times to check the sealing and any leakage around the thread. Then test the drop-by-drop dosing at normal temperature, if necessary with gentle shaking of the bottle. If the product is very viscous, it may drip more slowly – in such a case it is appropriate to slightly adjust the viscosity of the formula or choose a type of packaging with a different dosing method. When developing new formulations, it is always advisable to perform repeated tests after several days of storage to verify the long-term functionality of the dropper.
To make it easier to choose the packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. With the filter you can quickly narrow down the range according to several parameters – for example according to neck type, size, colour or material. By combining these criteria you select bottles, medicine bottles, jars or pots that best match your product and the required dosing method. If you need a specific solution, we recommend clicking through several categories and comparing the available options according to the parameters given and the packaging quality certificate.
