The glass bottle is a universal container suitable for professional and artisan packaging of cosmetic preparations, natural extracts and other liquid or dropwise formulations. High-quality glass provides high chemical resistance, thanks to which the container remains stable even during long-term contact with active substances, oils or alcoholic solutions. Darker glass also helps to reduce light penetration, which supports the protection of more sensitive components and slows down their degradation during storage.
Yes, the container can be used repeatedly if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol (for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based). Only after the packaging is completely dry is it appropriate to proceed with refilling, in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and an impact on product stability.
The bottle is ideal for packaging concentrated liquid formulations such as facial and hair oils, serums, toners, aromatic blends and perfume concentrates. Thanks to the stable glass, it is also suitable for various tinctures, extracts and laboratory test samples, where good chemical resistance of the packaging and protection of the contents during storage are important.
Before filling, we recommend working in the cleanest environment possible, using clean tools (funnel, pipette, dosing syringe) and a disinfected container. After washing, it is appropriate to rinse the bottle and disinfect it with alcohol, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After complete evaporation of the alcohol and drying of the inside of the container, you can start filling. For more viscous products, it is advisable to use slower filling to reduce foaming and maintain the consistency of the formulation.
If you decide not to reuse the container, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material indicated in the product parameters. The glass part can usually be placed, after emptying and rough cleaning, in the container intended for glass; closures or dispensing components must be sorted according to their material (for example plastic or metal, according to the marking on the packaging). It is recommended to remove product residues, labels and, if necessary, dismantle combined closures, so that recycling is as effective as possible. Always follow local waste-sorting rules and the information in the parameter table for the specific product on the Handymade website.
To choose a suitable container, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the filter it is possible to combine several parameters, for example neck type, size, color or material of the packaging, and thus quickly display only those bottles, vials or jars that meet the requirements of your product. This procedure will help you narrow down the selection and more easily find a container that will suit in terms of design, technical aspects and functionality.
When choosing a combination of container and closure, it is necessary to follow the parameters given with the product and always to carry out your own test as well. We recommend filling a smaller test sample and verifying whether the closure seals correctly, dispenses the required amount and whether there is no leakage or clogging of the mechanism during longer-term use. For products containing alcohol, a high proportion of oils or active substances, it is also advisable to monitor long-term contact – for example after several days or weeks – to be sure that the given combination is fully suitable for your formulation.
