The glass bottle with safety cap represents a reliable and professional packaging solution suitable for filling various liquid formulations where dosing accuracy and secure closure are important. High-quality clear glass is a stable packaging material which, when handled correctly, helps preserve both the sensory and functional properties of the stored contents. The bottle is designed to be practical for filling, handling and storage in both small and larger production runs.
The combination of the glass bottle and the safety cap is designed to provide safe and functional closure ready for immediate use. The packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure that the packaging also works reliably with your specific product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass bottle is suitable for a wide range of liquid formulations, including oil-based and slightly viscous products. However, it is always recommended to test the behaviour of the specific formulation in a small amount during filling, storage and dosing, in order to verify the smoothness of pouring and the functionality of the selected closure or applicator.
Before filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the glass bottle (rinsing with a suitable cleaning solution or with demineralised water), then allowing it to dry thoroughly and afterwards disinfecting it. For disinfecting the surfaces and the internal space of the packaging, it is appropriate to use alcohol-based disinfectants, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol of the recommended quality. When working, observe safety and hygiene rules and make sure that no residues of cleaning agents remain in the packaging.
The glass bottle can be used repeatedly if handled correctly and if hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimise the risk of microbial contamination of the new product. For disinfection it is appropriate to use alcohol-based preparations, such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, applied into a clean and dry packaging, and it is necessary to allow them to evaporate completely. Always consider repeated use also from the point of view of the nature of your formulation and the required level of hygiene or product stability.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, its recycling is recommended according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the packaging can generally be handed over within the separated collection system into the appropriate container for glass, and it is advisable to empty it beforehand and remove any product residues. Sort the cap and any other plastic or metal components according to the type of material and local rules for separated waste collection. Always follow the currently valid municipal waste sorting system in your municipality or city.
The safety cap is designed to reduce the risk of unintentional opening during normal handling and transport. When introducing your own product into practice, however, we recommend carrying out an individual leak test and an assessment of the behaviour of the packaging–closure combination under the real conditions in which the product will be used (transport, storage, temperature changes). This will help you verify that the specific formulation and the selected filling method do not affect the reliability of the closure.
To select suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging material category. In the filter you can clearly set parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material, and thus narrow the range down to the options that best suit your product. In this way you can efficiently compare several bottles, jars or pots and choose such a solution that is most suitable in terms of packaging, design and technical requirements.
