Yes, quality glass is generally suitable for packaging most cosmetic creams, emulsions and gels. The dark glass helps to reduce the effect of light on more sensitive active substances and the dispenser reduces the repeated contact of the product with air and hands. Before placing the final product on the market, we always recommend carrying out your own stability and compatibility test with the specific formulation.

Can I reuse this bottle for further batches of cream?

The packaging can be reused if hygienic principles are followed. However, before each new filling, the bottle and the dispensing mechanism must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. For disinfection we recommend using, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After cleaning, allow all parts to dry completely and only then refill the packaging.

How should I correctly test the compatibility of the cream with this packaging?

We recommend filling one test bottle with the finished product and monitoring its behaviour under the conditions in which it will normally be used (temperature, light, handling). Check in particular the sealing of the dispenser, the smoothness of dosing, any changes in the fragrance, colour and consistency of the cream, as well as visual changes on the packaging. If necessary, adjust the formulation or choose another type of packaging.

How can I dispose of the bottle if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass part can generally be placed in a container intended for glass, and the plastic or metal parts of the dispenser should be sorted according to their marking. Before discarding, remove any product residues and, if necessary, rinse the packaging so that the other recycled material is not contaminated.
