However, for highly concentrated blends we recommend preparing a trial sample, monitoring the behaviour of the spray pump and the longer‑term stability of the formulation in the packaging. For thicker or more oily products it is necessary to verify whether the spray pump dispenses them evenly.

The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle, rinsing it and then disinfecting it with a suitable product, for example with isopropyl alcohol or plant‑based ethanol. After disinfection, allow both the packaging and the spray pump to dry completely. When changing the type of formulation (e.g. from a cosmetic product to a cleaning product), it is advisable to use new packaging to avoid unwanted residues of the previous product.

For the correct function of the spray pump it is important to fill the bottle appropriately – not leaving it completely empty, but also not overfilling it to the very top. After screwing on the spray pump, press it several times with no product coming out so that the dip tube fills with product and the system is bled of air. For optimal spraying use rather low‑viscosity, watery or alcoholic solutions without an excessively high proportion of undissolved particles that could clog the nozzle. When preparing your own formulations, we recommend testing the dosing in advance on a small sample.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition stated in the product parameters. After emptying and basic rinsing, place the glass body of the bottle in the appropriate glass container in accordance with local waste‑sorting rules. It is advisable to separate the plastic spray pump and any other plastic parts from the glass and sort them into the container intended for plastic waste, if the local system accepts such packaging. By following these principles you support a more environmentally friendly approach and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
