Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes in the properties of the product.

First we recommend mechanical cleaning – rinsing with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent and thorough removal of all residues of the original product. Then it is advisable to rinse the bottle again with clean water, allow it to dry completely and only then perform disinfection using alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol 96 %. After disinfection, let the packaging air out well so that the residual alcohol evaporates.

As a rule, glass packaging is very suitable for filling concentrated oils, aromatic and essential blends, because glass is a chemically stable material and does not react with most common cosmetic and aromatherapeutic raw materials. However, for very strong or atypical formulations we recommend carrying out a trial filling in a smaller quantity and after a certain time checking for any changes in fragrance, colour or possible impact on the closure.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend including it in sorted waste collection according to the material specified in the product parameters. After emptying and basic rinsing, place the glass bottle in the container designated for glass. The aluminium closure should be separated from the bottle and disposed of in metal packaging collection if such collection is available in your municipality. Before recycling, it is important to remove as much product residue from the packaging as possible to facilitate processing in the recycling process.
