Glass bottle made from clear, hygienically compliant glass is a universal container suitable for a wide range of cosmetic as well as technical formulations. Thanks to the stable and inert material, it is ideal for packaging liquid and mildly viscous products that require reliable protection against external influences and possible contamination. The smooth glass surface allows for easy cleaning and labelling, and the bottle is also suitable for smaller production runs or test samples of products.
The standalone glass bottle is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems, such as screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators. The specific compatibility always depends on the selected neck parameters and the type of accessory you choose within the Handymade range.
Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the container in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure the packaging works reliably with your particular product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After drying, the bottle is ready for reuse with a new formulation.
Before first use, we recommend rinsing the bottle with lukewarm water and a suitable cleaning agent, then rinsing it thoroughly with clean water and allowing it to drain. It is then appropriate to disinfect the inner surface with an alcohol solution (for example products based on IPA or ethanol from the Handymade range) to minimise the risk of microbial contamination. After it has completely dried, you can safely fill the bottle with the selected product.
To choose the right packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. Using the filter, you can quickly select suitable combinations according to parameters such as type and neck diameter, size, colour or packaging material. In this way you can easily narrow down the offer to options that correspond to the specific product and the desired method of application.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the local waste sorting rules and according to the material information stated in the product parameter table on the Handymade website. The glass part of the packaging can usually be placed into the container designated for glass after emptying and basic cleaning, while the closure or dispensing element is usually sorted according to its material composition (for example plastic or metal), provided this is possible in your municipality.
This glass bottle is ideal especially for liquid and lightly viscous preparations, such as facial and body oils, serums, toners, water solutions and concentrated blends. In combination with a suitable closure or dropper, it allows precise and controlled dosing. Thicker emulsions or gels can be used depending on the type of dispensing system you choose and whether you are comfortable with the rate at which they are expelled or drip out.
When selecting a closure, it is important to follow the neck parameters given for the product and to take into account how you intend to apply the final product. For drop-applied serums and oils, droppers or pipettes are suitable; for liquid toners, screw caps with reducer or a gentle dispenser are appropriate; and for aromatherapy blends, a spray head can also be practical. All recommended combinations are marked on Handymade so that they are mutually compatible, but even so, we recommend performing your own sealing and dosing test with the specific formulation.
