FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this glass bottle with sprayer suitable for thicker oil blends, or only for aqueous solutions?

The sprayer is designed primarily for aqueous and water–alcohol solutions or very light oil mists. With thicker oils and oil macerates, the spray quality may decrease or the mechanism may clog. Before final filling, we recommend testing the behaviour of the specific formulation on a small trial batch and verifying whether the sprayer produces a sufficiently fine and even mist.

How should the bottle be properly cleaned and disinfected before repeated use?

The packaging can be reused repeatedly if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly rinsed, cleaned of residues of the previous product and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation. For this purpose, we recommend for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol ethanol 96 % denatured. Disinfection must also be carried out on the sprayer – it is recommended to pump the disinfecting solution through the mechanism several times to flush the inner capillary and nozzle.

Is it possible to use this bottle also when travelling and carrying it in a handbag or cosmetic bag?

The glass bottle with sprayer is also suitable for travel-size packaging; however, during transport it is important to ensure mechanical protection of the glass. We recommend placing the bottle in a rigid cosmetic bag or case so that it is protected from impacts. Before travelling, always check that the sprayer is tightly screwed on and, if a protective cap for the nozzle is available, use it to reduce the risk of unintentional pressing of the pump.

You offer many types of packaging – how can I find the right one for my product?

How should I proceed if I decide not to use the packaging any longer – can it be recycled?

If you do not wish to keep reusing the glass bottle, we recommend placing it in separated waste according to the material composition stated in the product parameters. The glass part can generally be placed, after rinsing, in the glass container, while the plastic and metal parts of the sprayer should be separated and sorted according to local recycling rules. When recycling, it is important to remove product residues to prevent contamination of other separately collected waste.
