The glass bottle is suitable for packaging many types of cosmetic formulations, including products with active ingredients intended for external use. However, before final implementation we always recommend performing your own stability tests and a compatibility test of the formulation with the packaging to verify the behavior of the product during storage (viscosity, scent, color, sedimentation, etc.).

The bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly washed, then disinfected and allowed to dry completely. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. This will reduce the risk of microbial contamination and the influence of the new formulation by residues of the original product.

First remove residues of the original product mechanically (pouring out, wiping), then use warm water with a suitable detergent and rinse the bottle thoroughly so that no foam residues remain. After mechanical cleaning we recommend applying disinfection with alcohol (for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol), allow it to act and dry in a clean, dust-free place. Clean closures and any dispensers separately, with emphasis on all contact surfaces that come into contact with the product.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition given in the product parameters. The glass part can usually be cleaned of product residues and placed in the container intended for glass. After cleaning, the aluminum closure should be placed in sorted metal waste, if the sorting system in your area allows it. When recycling, it is important to remove as much content as possible from the packaging (especially greasy and pigmented residues) so that it is correctly classified in the recycling process.

In the filter you can combine several criteria, such as neck type, size, color and packaging material, and thus quickly narrow the offer down to products suitable for your specific purpose. We recommend filtering first by material and volume range, then fine-tuning the selection according to shape and closure type.

When filling, we recommend working in the cleanest environment possible, using clean tools and closing the bottle immediately after filling to minimize contamination. Do not fill the product at extremely high temperatures to avoid thermal shock to the glass. When storing, follow the requirements of the formulation itself – protect it from direct sunlight, excessive heat and humidity. It is always advisable to carry out a trial filling and several days of monitoring the behavior of the product in the packaging, especially for new or sensitive formulas.
