The bottle with dropper is primarily intended for thin to medium-viscosity liquids for which drop-by-drop dosing is desired. For thicker oils we recommend carrying out a trial filling and testing the outflow rate as well as the dosing comfort. If the flow through the dropper is too slow, another type of closure or dispensing system from the Handymade range may be more suitable.

The glass packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. However, before each new filling it is essential to clean and disinfect the bottle and the dropper thoroughly to prevent microbial contamination and transfer of residues of the original formulation. For disinfection we recommend using for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol of a quality suitable for the given use, which you can find on Handymade: IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection it is important to let all parts dry completely.

First we recommend removing residues of the original product using warm water and a suitable cleaning agent that is compatible with your formulation. It is then advisable to rinse the bottle thoroughly so that no detergent residues remain. After mechanical cleaning, disinfect the packaging and the dropper with an alcohol-based preparation, for example with products available on Handymade, and let them dry completely in a clean, dust-free place. Only after complete drying is the packaging ready for further use.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The glass part of the bottle can in most cases be placed in a container designated for glass, while the components of the closure and the dropper (for example plastic or rubber parts) should be sorted according to the type of material in line with the recommendations given in the product parameters on the Handymade website. Before handing over for recycling it is advisable to remove any product residues and labels so that the sorting is as efficient as possible.
