This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and unwanted changes in the properties of the product.

First we recommend mechanical cleaning – rinsing with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent and thorough removal of all residues of the original product. Then it is appropriate to rinse the bottle again with clean water, let it dry completely, and only then perform disinfection using alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol 96 %. After disinfection, let the packaging air out well so that the alcohol residues can evaporate.

The glass packaging is in general very suitable for packing concentrated oils, aromatic and essential blends, because glass is a chemically stable material and does not react with most common cosmetic and aromatherapeutic raw materials. However, for very strong or atypical formulations we recommend performing a trial filling in a smaller quantity and, after a certain time, checking for any changes in fragrance, color or any possible effect on the closure.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it into sorted waste collection according to the material stated in the product parameters. After emptying and basic rinsing, place the glass bottle into the container intended for glass. It is advisable to separate the aluminum cap from the bottle and throw it into metal packaging collection, if such collection is available in your municipality. Before recycling, it is important to remove as much product residue from the packaging as possible in order to simplify processing in the recycling process.
