The glass jar with white plastic lid is a practical and aesthetic container for various types of cosmetic products and provides a reliable vessel for both home-made and professional formulations. Thanks to the combination of glass and a plastic closure, the jar offers stability, hygiene and easy handling during filling and use.
This jar is suitable for packaging thicker and semi-liquid products such as creams, balms or scrubs, where comfortable scooping of the contents and good sealing are important. The glass container helps maintain the quality of the formulation, while the plastic lid ensures practical and quick closing of the packaging.
The combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) in order to verify the long-term stability and usability of the final product.

Yes, the jar can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable product, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection we recommend the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and preserves the quality of your cosmetics.
The glass jar is ideal for thicker and semi-solid cosmetic products that can be easily taken out with fingers or a spatula. You will mainly use it for facial and body creams, lip balms, ointments, butters, scrubs, masks or local treatment products. Thanks to the stable glass, it is also suitable for formulations with a higher proportion of oils or waxes that may be sensitive to interaction with less resistant materials.
Before the first filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the jar, rinsing it with a suitable cleaning agent and drying it thoroughly. It is then appropriate to disinfect the inner surface, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Allow the disinfectant to evaporate and only then fill the packaging. This will support hygienic safety and a longer shelf life of your products.
If you decide not to use the jar any longer, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the usual waste-sorting rules. The glass container should be sorted into the container intended for glass (according to local rules for clear or mixed glass). Separate the plastic lid and dispose of it in plastic collection according to your municipality’s recommendations. Before recycling, it is advisable to remove any remaining product from the packaging to make the recycling process easier.
