The glass jar with a clear body and black plastic lid is a practical packaging suitable for filling various cosmetic preparations, both greasier and thicker textures, as well as smaller doses of products for targeted use. The stable construction of the jar ensures convenient scooping of the contents and at the same time an aesthetic presentation of the final product. Thanks to the combination of glass and a plastic lid, this packaging is suitable for formulations where good protection of the contents and clean dosing are important.
This product is supplied as a complete combination of glass jar and plastic lid. The packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, the jar can be used repeatedly if hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to wash the packaging thoroughly, dry it and then disinfect it with a suitable alcoholic preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. This will reduce the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of your formulation.
The jar is ideal for thicker and semi-solid preparations that can be conveniently scooped with fingers or a spatula – for example face and body balms, protective creams, lip waxes, ointments, butter blends or concentrated creamy formulations for local use. Thanks to the glass body, it is also suitable for products with a higher share of oils and waxes.
Before first use, we recommend washing the jar in lukewarm water with a mild cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly, allowing it to dry completely and then disinfecting the inner and outer surface. For disinfection it is suitable to use an alcoholic solution, for example IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured. After the alcohol has evaporated, you can safely fill the packaging with the prepared product.
For recycling, we recommend first emptying the jar and basically cleaning it from product residues. The glass part should be placed in the container intended for glass in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The plastic lid must be separated and sorted according to the type of plastic specified in the product parameters on the Handymade.sk website. This will ensure that the individual materials are properly processed in the recycling process.
The jar can also be used for various types of products one after another; however, it is important to ensure thorough washing and disinfection between each use so that there is no transfer of scents, raw material residues or microorganisms. After mechanical cleaning and washing, we recommend always disinfecting the inner space and the thread of the lid with alcohol, for example using the products IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured, and allowing it to dry completely before the next filling.
