Yes, the glass jar can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol (IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol) or ethanol (Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based). In this way you minimise the risk of microbial contamination and ensure the long-term safety of the product for the end user.
First mechanically clean the jar of product residues, then wash it in warm water with a suitable cleaning agent and rinse thoroughly. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the inner surface and threads with alcohol – we recommend the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Allow the disinfectant solution to act briefly and let the excess evaporate so that the packaging is ready for refilling.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend recycling it responsibly. The glass container must be emptied and freed from coarse product residues, then sorted into the container designated for glass according to local waste-sorting rules. The lid and any plastic or metal parts should be sorted separately according to the material specified in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. By following these principles, you support sustainable handling of packaging material.

Thanks to the reduced light transmission it is particularly suitable for formulations containing plant oils, extracts and other sensitive active ingredients that require more stable storage.
