Product description

Essences obtained by CO2 extraction are some of the purest essences with a higher proportion of individual chemical components than those found in essential oils obtained by steam distillation, as they do not contain residual solvents, inorganic salts, heavy metals or bacteria capable of reproduction. Their use is the same as for essential oils, but in a much smaller proportion, as CO2 extract is stronger, of higher quality and has a significantly longer shelf life. In fact, the plant extracts do not undergo thermal degradation in this extraction process, as is the case in the steam distillation process.

Depending on the pressure, CO2 extraction makes it possible to create two types of extracts, the so-called Selects and Totals.

CO2-to extracts are total extracts from the plant (obtained by high-pressure extraction), thus containing all CO2-soluble components, including waxes, resins, dyes. They are thus very similar to the plant itself, usually being thick and pasty precisely because of the waxes, fats and resins contained, which come from the plant material itself.

Consumption: 13-17 kg of liquorice root per 1 kg of CO2 extract

Ingredients: 50% CO2 extract of liquorice root, 50% MCT oil (coconut)

The extract contains 8.5% isoflavans, e.g. licoricidin and licorisoflavan A, but does not contain glycyrrhizic acid and 2-4% ethanol.

Use:

The substances licoricidin and licorisoflavan A contained in the CO2 extract of liquorice root have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects and inhibit the growth of oral pathogens. The extract is therefore suitable for use in toothpastes, mouthwashes and other dental care.

All raw materials supplied are of cosmetic quality, not suitable for internal use.
