Product description

Surfinesse Cleanse is an innovative gentle plant-derived tenside created by Hallstar for advanced oil cleaning products. It combines Polyglyceryl-4 Olivate and Ethyl Olivate - ingredients from olive oil that effectively remove makeup, SPF and impurities without a greasy feeling. Upon contact with water, it transforms into a lightweight oil-to-milk cleanser that leaves skin feeling refreshed, hydrated and perfectly clean.

Surfinesse™ Cleanse is 100% naturally derived, palm derivative free and suitable for vegan formulations. It is COSMOS and NaTrue certified. It has a light sensory, gentle cleansing action and very good compatibility with vegetable oils, esters and alkanes (HLB 9-11). Clinical tests have confirmed that it improves skin hydration between 1 and 3 hours after rinsing.

Use in formulation

Recommended dosage: 15-30% as a single surfactant; in combination with other surfactants usually < 15%.

Compatibility/miscibility: very miscible with ester and triglyceride emollients (e.g. Very good with Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Coco-Caprylate, Isononyl Isononanoate), with alkanes and ethers (Squalane, Isododecane, Dicaprylyl Ether) and with mineral oil; miscible with many vegetable oils (almond, jojoba, olive, sunflower). Add small amounts of water during mixing to increase transparency; use medium to high polar oils to improve washability.

It is recommended to add it during cooling (at temperatures below 40 °C). In oil systems, achieve full cleaning efficiency at 15% or more; in combination with other tensides, it maintains foaming power even at higher dosages.

Yes. The mild olive chemistry and light sensory usually suit sensitive and dry skin; it does not leave a tight or greasy film after rinsing.

Which oils is it best to combine it with?

Works well with esters and triglycerides (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Coco-Caprylate) and with alkanes (Squalane, Isodododecane). For greater transparency, add a small amount of water during mixing.

What is the recommended dosage and when to add it?
