Surfinesse Cleanse is an innovative mild surfactant of plant origin created by Hallstar for modern oil-based cleansing products. It combines Polyglyceryl-4 Olivate and Ethyl Olivate – components derived from olive oil that effectively remove make-up, SPF and impurities without a greasy feel. Upon contact with water, it turns into a light “oil-to-milk” cleansing milk that leaves the skin fresh, hydrated and perfectly clean.
Recommended dosage: 15–30% as the sole surfactant; in combination with other surfactants usually < 15%.
Compatibility / miscibility: very well miscible with ester and triglyceride emollients (e.g. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Coco-Caprylate, Isononyl Isononanoate), with alkanes and ethers (Squalane, Isododecane, Dicaprylyl Ether) as well as with mineral oil; miscible with many vegetable oils (almond, jojoba, olive, sunflower). To increase transparency, add a small amount of water during mixing; to improve rinsability, use medium to highly polar oils.
It is recommended to add it during the cooling phase (at a temperature below 40 °C). In oil-based systems you will achieve full cleansing efficacy at 15% and above; in combination with other surfactants it maintains foam even at higher dosage.
Yes. The gentle olive chemistry and light sensoriality are generally suitable even for sensitive and dry skin; after rinsing it does not leave tightness or a greasy film.
It works excellently with esters and triglycerides (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Coco-Caprylate) and with alkanes (Squalane, Isododecane). For higher transparency, add a small amount of water during mixing.
