Symbio®solv clear plus MB is a modern natural solubilizer and auxiliary surfactant intended for transparent cosmetic formulations. It is based on 100 % natural ingredients, is PEG-free, has a low odour and slight coloration, and provides an excellent skin feel without stickiness. This ingredient enables the effective solubilization of perfume oils and essential oils in cleansing products, toners or micellar waters, and is fully compatible with COSMOS certifications and sustainable natural cosmetics concepts.

Use in formulation:

• Solubility: easily soluble in water.

• Recommended dosage:

  • Transparent aqueous solutions: oil : solubilizer ratio 1 : 3 to 1 : 5, maximum 4 – 5 %.

  • Surfactant-based formulations: 0,5 – 1,5 %.

• CMC (critical micelle concentration): 0,6 g/l

• Incorporation:

  1. Premix Symbio solv clear plus MB with the perfume or lipophilic substances at room temperature.

  2. Add the aqueous phase or surfactant base under constant stirring.

  3. Adjust pH to 4.5 – 6.5.

  4. If necessary, add ethanol (max. 10 %) at the end of the process.

• Thermal stability: the aqueous phase can be heated up to 80 °C.

• Compatibility: natural perfumes, essential oils, synthetic ester oils, lipophilic active ingredients, non-ionic conditioners.

• Incompatibility: vegetable oils, cationic compounds.

This ingredient offers cosmetics manufacturers an effective and natural alternative to traditional PEG solubilizers, making it an ideal solution for modern and transparent formulations.
