Symbio®solv clear plus MB is an advanced natural solubilizer and additive tenside designed for transparent cosmetic formulations. It is based on 100% natural ingredients, is PEG-free, low odour and mild in colour and provides excellent skin feel without stickiness. This ingredient enables the effective solubilization of perfume and essential oils in cleansing products, toners or micellar waters, while being fully compatible with COSMOS certifications and sustainable natural cosmetic concepts.

Suitable for products such as:

(Not recommended for intimate care products, child care or spray applications due to re-classification of Glyceryl Caprylate.)

Use in formulation:

• Solubility: readily soluble in water.

• Recommended Dosage:

  • Transparent aqueous solutions: oil : solubilizer ratio 1 : 3 to 1 : 5, maximum 4 - 5%.

  • Tenside-based formulations: 0,5 to 1,5 %.

• CMC (critical micellar concentration): 0,6 g/l

• Incorporation:

  1. Premix symbio solv clear plus MB with perfume or lipophilic agents at room temperature.

  2. Add aqueous phase or tenside base with stirring.

  3. Adjust the pH to 4.5 - 6.5.

  4. If necessary, add ethanol (max. 10%) at the end of the process.

• Temperature stability: the aqueous phase can be heated up to 80 °C.

• Compatibility: natural perfumes, essential oils, synthetic ester oils, lipophilic actives, non-ionic conditioners.

• Incompatibility: vegetable oils, cationic compounds.

This ingredient offers cosmetic manufacturers an effective and natural alternative to traditional PEG solubilizers, making it an ideal solution for modern and transparent formulations.
