Glass bottle – square pharmaceutical bottle represents a professional packaging solution suitable for filling various liquid and partially viscous preparations where precise application, protection of the contents and a representative appearance are important. High-quality clear glass allows visual inspection of the contents, which is appreciated by manufacturers of cosmetics, serums and various concentrates. The smooth surface is ideal for labeling and branding, so the packaging looks aesthetic even for handmade products produced in small batches.
The standalone glass pharmaceutical bottle is compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems according to the selected parameters in the offer, which allows you to adapt the packaging to the specific product and method of application. You can choose, for example, screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators and thus create functional packaging for serums, toners, oils or intensive treatment solutions. The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. We recommend familiarising yourself with them before the final introduction of the packaging into production so that you can be sure it meets the requirements of your specific formula, logistics chain and storage conditions. During filling and closing, always follow the recommended technological procedure and the standard hygiene rules for cosmetics manufacturing.
Yes, the glass packaging can be reused with proper handling, which is advantageous in terms of sustainability as well as costs. For each reuse, however, it is essential to observe hygiene rules: before refilling, the pharmaceutical bottle must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable agent. For disinfection you can use, for example, isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you can find in the Handymade range as IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol and etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Only after complete drying is the packaging ready for refilling.
Before the first filling, we recommend first mechanically rinsing the glass bottle with suitable clean water or a medium that is compatible with your formula and then disinfecting it. You can use alcohol-based disinfectant solutions, such as isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol, available on Handymade. After applying the disinfectant, allow the packaging to air-dry at room temperature in a clean and dust-free place. A pharmaceutical bottle prepared in this way is suitable for cosmetic use in small-scale production as well as for home blending of formulas.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend that after emptying and basic rinsing you place it in the appropriate separate waste stream according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle is usually placed in the container intended for glass, while any plastic or metal closures should be sorted separately according to local recycling rules. Before recycling, remove product residues and labels to the extent permitted by your local waste management services. In this way you will support the efficient recovery of the used packaging material.
Glass is generally considered a very stable and inert material, therefore this pharmaceutical bottle is also suitable for packaging products with a higher concentration of active substances, such as serums, boosters or intensive treatment solutions. Before introducing it into full-scale production, however, we recommend carrying out your own compatibility tests with the specific formula – especially for preparations with atypical pH, high alcohol content or specific solvents. Testing should include monitoring the stability of the product as well as the tightness of the chosen closure over time.
To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the filter you can conveniently choose key parameters such as neck type, required size, colour or packaging material and thus display only those products that meet your formula and intended use. Thanks to the advanced filter, you can easily compare several options and find a solution for cosmetic and other liquid preparations within your production.
