Fill the contents into the bottle slowly, ideally using a funnel or a dosing syringe, to prevent contamination of the neck. Leave a small air gap between the fill level and the roll-on insert, which will allow the ball to move freely and ensure correct dosing. After filling, firmly insert the roll-on mechanism according to the recommended procedure and close the bottle with the closure. Before first use, test the dosing on a small area of skin and, if necessary, shake gently until the ball is evenly moistened with the product.

The bottle can be reused provided that you follow strict hygiene principles and always ensure thorough cleaning between uses of different products. Before refilling, the packaging must be mechanically cleaned (rinsing with a suitable cleaning agent and water) and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. Only after thorough drying of the packaging and components is the bottle ready for refilling.

First, disassemble the bottle and the individual components (roll-on insert, closure). Remove product residues by rinsing with warm water and a suitable mild cleaning agent, paying particular attention to the area around the ball and the neck. Then rinse thoroughly with drinking water so that no cleaner residues remain in the packaging. After washing, disinfect the components, for example using alcohol – isopropyl alcohol or vegetable ethanol is recommended. After disinfection, allow the packaging and the roll-on mechanism to dry completely at room temperature in a clean and dust-free place.

If you decide not to use the bottle further, it is recommended to recycle it in accordance with local waste sorting rules. After emptying and basic rinsing, place the glass part of the bottle in the appropriate glass container according to the recommendations in your municipality. Sort the roll-on mechanism and any plastic or metal parts of the closure according to the type of material given in the product parameters, or dispose of them in mixed waste if the local sorting system does not allow separate collection of that material. Before handing over for recycling, it is advisable to remove product residues from the packaging in order to facilitate the recycling process.

The roll-on bottle is most suitable for liquid to slightly viscous formulations that can flow smoothly under the ball of the roll-on mechanism. These are mainly oils, hydroalcoholic solutions, light emulsions and serums. With very thick creams or gel textures, dosing may be limited, so it is always advisable to carry out a trial filling and test the behaviour of the product in real use. If necessary, the composition (viscosity) of the formulation can be adjusted so that it cooperates better with the roll-on system.
