Milky glass jar with silver lid represents an elegant and professional packaging solution for cosmetic formulations as well as other artisanal products. The milky, opaque glass helps to better protect sensitive ingredients from light, thereby contributing to longer-lasting stability of fragrance, colour and texture. In combination with the precisely fitting lid, this jar provides a reliable closure and an aesthetically impressive appearance suitable for home-made and semi-professional brands.
The packaging is ideal for solid and semi-solid products that require easy scooping – creams, balms, butters or scrubs. Thanks to the high-quality glass and stylish closure, the finished product has a premium look, which increases its perceived value for the end customer. The glass jar is suitable for small batches, test runs as well as final products ready for sale.
This glass jar is supplied in combination with a matching lid that ensures convenient and reliable closing. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test – checking the seal, the behaviour of the packaging during normal handling and the stability of the product in contact with the specific formulation (especially with a high content of acids, alcohol or essential oils).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed packaging quality certificate and in the product parameters.
When planning to use the jar, we recommend taking into account information on the glass material, the type and material of the lid, as well as the recommended storage conditions. This information will help you correctly set up the processes of filling, labelling and storing the finished products so that their quality is maintained throughout their entire shelf life.
Yes, the glass jar can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, both the jar and the lid must be thoroughly cleaned of any residues of the original contents and then disinfected with a suitable agent. For disinfection, we recommend using either isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After thorough drying, you can safely fill the jar again with a new product.
Before the first filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the jar and lid from dust and any production residues, then washing them in warm water with a suitable detergent and rinsing well. After washing, the packaging should be left to dry naturally or dried with a clean, lint-free cloth. Before the actual filling, it is advisable to disinfect the packaging with alcohol, for example using products available on Handymade, and to let the alcohol evaporate completely so that the consistency or fragrance of the final product is not affected.
The jar is particularly popular for thicker and semi-solid preparations that are easily scooped with fingers or a spatula. These include facial and body creams, whipped butters, lip balms, local balms for dry areas, massage balms or scrubs based on oils and butters. Thanks to its premium appearance with the silver lid, it is also suitable for gift packaging or test samples for clients.
We recommend storing finished products in the glass jar in a dry, cooler place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. This reduces the risk of changes in consistency, yellowing or degradation of more sensitive ingredients. The jar should always be tightly closed and, when handling, you should pay attention to hand cleanliness or use a spatula so that dirt and microorganisms from the external environment are not transferred into the product.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend recycling it responsibly. As a first step, remove as much as possible of the product residue from the inside of the container. Then throw the glass part into the container designated for glass according to local waste sorting rules. The lid made of another material, for example plastic or metal, should be sorted separately in accordance with local regulations. In this way, you support the reuse of materials and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
To make it easier to search for suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter in the packaging materials category on Handymade. This filter is located at the top of the page after clicking on the selected category and allows you to sort packaging according to several parameters. You can choose, for example, the type of neck, the required size, the colour of the packaging or the material. This way, you will quickly find bottles, jars, pill bottles or other containers that best match the character of your product and the method of dispensing.
