Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly with a suitable type of filling, always with strict adherence to hygiene rules. Before each new filling, the bottle must be cleaned and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for this purpose. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 – isopropyl alcohol and ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, which you can find on Handymade in the products IPA 99 – isopropyl alkohol 1 l and Etanol 96 denaturovaný rastlinný 1 l. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry thoroughly and only then fill it again.

A bottle made of PET material is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. Do not expose it for a long time to direct sunlight in a closed car or near heat sources in order to avoid unwanted deformation of the packaging. PET packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. For cleaning, use lukewarm water with a suitable detergent, then rinse the bottle thoroughly and disinfect it with a recommended alcohol-based product before re-use.

If you decide not to use the packaging repeatedly, we recommend that, after emptying and basic rinsing, you place it in sorted waste according to the material specified in the product parameters on the Handymade website. Since this is a plastic packaging made of PET material, you should normally throw the bottle into the container designated for plastic, unless local rules provide otherwise. Before recycling, remove any remaining product and, if possible, also labels to make further processing of the material easier.

Before introducing the packaging into production, we recommend preparing a test sample of the product and filling several bottles with the selected type of closure or dosing system. During the trial period, observe the behaviour of the plastic (changes in shape, softening, cloudiness), any leakage through the thread, the functionality of the dosing system and the stability of the formulation itself. Store the bottles under conditions similar to those in which the product will actually be used (temperature, light, handling). This procedure will help you detect any incompatibility in time and adapt either the packaging or the product composition.
