FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this plastic packaging suitable for hot or freshly cooked products?

The plastic bottle is intended for filling with normally tempered, cooled products. The packaging is not designed for filling with hot or freshly cooked mixtures, therefore we always recommend waiting until the product reaches room temperature. In this way you minimize the risk of undesirable deformation of the packaging and you maintain the functionality of the dispenser.

Can I use this bottle repeatedly for different products?

The packaging can be used repeatedly, provided that you observe basic hygiene principles. Before each new filling it is necessary to clean the bottle and the dispenser thoroughly and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or with ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After complete drying you can fill the packaging again. When changing the type of product (for example from an oil-based to a water-based one) we recommend even more thorough cleaning and a compatibility test.

How should I correctly clean and maintain the dispenser so that it remains functional?

We recommend regularly rinsing the dispenser with a suitable cleaning solution – first with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent, then with clean water. For thicker or oil-based formulations, longer rinsing may be necessary in order to remove product residues from the tube and the pump mechanism. After cleaning, allow the dispenser to dry thoroughly at room temperature. Do not use high temperatures, dryers or aggressive solvents outside the recommendations for the specific filler.

How should I correctly recycle the packaging if I do not want to use it any longer?

If you decide not to use the packaging any longer, we recommend first emptying it and, if possible, rinsing out any product residues. Then follow the recycling recommendations given in the parameter table for this product on the Handymade.sk website – according to the type of plastic, place the packaging in the appropriate separated waste collection. In the case of a combination of several materials (for example the bottle body and the dispenser) it is ideal to dismantle the individual parts and sort them separately, provided that local waste sorting rules allow this.
