Yes, the bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a suitable alcoholic solution (for example using products available on Handymade, such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based). After washing, we recommend allowing the bottle to dry naturally, checking the integrity of the closure and only then refilling it.
Recycled PET, just like conventional PET, should not be exposed to high temperatures, as there is a risk of softening and deformation of the packaging. We do not recommend washing the bottle in a dishwasher, boiling it or heating it in a microwave oven. For cleaning, use lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent, followed if necessary by disinfection with an alcoholic solution. When filling with mixtures that are too hot, the walls may become damaged; therefore, it is suitable to fill the contents only after they have cooled down to a safe temperature.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material stated in the product parameters. The bottle is made from recycled PET, so after emptying and basic rinsing, place it in the container intended for plastic waste according to local sorting rules. The closure is usually made from a different plastic material, so it is ideal to separate it before disposal. Thoroughly rinsing away any remaining contents in advance helps improve the quality of the recycling stream and minimises the environmental burden.
The bottle made from recycled PET is a universal solution for many aqueous, water-alcohol and mildly viscous formulations. However, for highly concentrated, strongly acidic or alkaline preparations, or for products containing aggressive solvents, it is always necessary to carry out your own test of material compatibility with the specific composition. It is recommended to fill a smaller test quantity, monitor the stability of the packaging and contents over time, and verify the functionality of the closure and dosing before starting final production.
