The plastic bottle made from recycled material with a disc-top closure is a practical packaging for various liquid products where convenient dispensing and a modern, clean appearance are important. Thanks to the type of closure, it is suitable for contents that are used in smaller amounts and are meant to be easily accessible with one hand.
This packaging is designed for formulations that require controlled squeezing or pouring – from gentle cosmetic preparations to auxiliary solutions for household use. The recycled plastic material enables a more responsible approach to packaging, while maintaining functionality during normal use in the bathroom or in cosmetic production.
This plastic bottle is a separate packaging component and is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems according to the selected parameters. Depending on the specific neck and design, it can be combined, for example, with screw caps, dropper or dosing inserts, spray pumps or practical applicators, which can change the way the packaging is used according to the type of product.
The combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – verifying tightness, dosing accuracy and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, presence of oils, alcohol or active substances).
All technical parameters of the packaging are stated in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are followed, as long as it is not mechanically damaged and the closure remains functional. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After cleaning and disinfection, allow the packaging to dry completely and only then refill it.
First, rinse the packaging mechanically with lukewarm water, using a mild cleaning agent suitable for plastic if necessary. Then we recommend using an alcohol-based disinfectant – for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Pour the disinfectant solution into the container, shake so that it comes into contact with all internal walls, and if necessary wipe the thread and the closure with it as well. After disinfection, allow the packaging to drain and dry completely at room temperature. Avoid the use of high temperatures so that the plastic is not damaged.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the recommendation given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade.sk website. Before handing it over for separate collection, remove any product residues, rinse the packaging and, according to the recycling label indicated, dispose of it in the appropriate container (usually plastic). If the closure consists of a different type of plastic than the bottle itself, follow the instructions of the municipality or collection company – in some places it is possible to sort different types of plastics together, in others they must be separated. By following these steps, you will support correct material recovery of the packaging.
The disc-top closure is ideal for liquids of medium viscosity that are used in smaller doses – for example body and facial lotions, shower gels, shampoos, liquid soaps, make-up removing and cleansing solutions, massage oils or auxiliary solutions in the workshop or studio. It allows easy opening by pressing the top part and dispensing directly into the palm of the hand or onto a cotton pad. For thicker creams and pastes or for very thin products with a high content of volatile substances, however, another type of closure or dispensing system may be more suitable – therefore we always recommend testing the real behaviour of the product in the packaging.

In this way you can quickly display only those packaging items that meet your requirements (for example compatibility with a certain type of closure) and more easily find the ideal solution for your cosmetics or other product.
