Glass roll-on bottles are generally very well suited for preparations containing essential oils, since glass is a stable packaging material with good chemical resistance. Nevertheless, we recommend always preparing a small test batch and verifying the compatibility of the specific formula with the packaging – in particular, monitor the viscosity of the product, the smoothness of dosing through the roll-on ball and the long-term stability of the blend during storage.

How should I properly clean the glass roll-on bottle before first use and when refilling it?

The packaging can be reused when hygienic principles are observed. Before the first filling and at every subsequent use, the bottle, roll-on ball and closure must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. We recommend first mechanical cleaning (rinsing with a suitable cleaning medium), followed by disinfection with alcohol, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts of the packaging to dry completely, and only then fill the product back into the bottle.

How can I ensure that the roll-on ball dispenses the product evenly and without leaking?
