The glass bottle with dropper represents a professional packaging solution that is ideal for the precise dispensing of liquid preparations that require hygienic and controlled use. In combination with a high-quality dropper, it enables convenient and economical dosing without unnecessary waste of the contents and minimizes the product’s contact with air and contaminating impurities. The glossy black glass combined with the matte white dropper appears elegant and aesthetically clean, which makes the packaging suitable also for premium cosmetic ranges or specialized formulations.
The dark glass at the same time provides natural protection of sensitive components from light, which is especially important for products containing plant extracts, antioxidants, essential oils or light-sensitive active ingredients. Thanks to the material used, the bottle is suitable for longer-term storage of the contents without undesirable interaction between the packaging and the product, while helping to preserve the quality, stability and appearance of the packaged preparation.
The standalone glass bottle is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems according to the parameters selected at purchase. Depending on the nature of the formulation, you can combine it with screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators that make it possible to adapt the dosing to the intended use and to the viscosity of the product.
The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), especially for recipes with a higher proportion of acidic, alkaline or highly aromatic components.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass packaging can be used repeatedly if the correct hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle, removing any residues of the previous product and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after the packaging has completely dried is the bottle ready for reuse.
It is advisable to first rinse the glass bottle with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, remove all product residues and then rinse it thoroughly with clean water so that no detergent residues remain. After washing, we recommend disinfecting the bottle and, if applicable, the glass part of the dropper with an alcoholic solution (for example using the products available on Handymade) and leaving it to air-dry at room temperature. The rubber or plastic parts of the dropper must be cleaned gently according to the recommendations for the specific material in order to avoid damage or a reduction in sealing performance.
Thanks to the stability of the material, the glass bottle is also suitable for packaging concentrated essential oils and aromatherapeutic blends that need to be dosed drop by drop. The darker glass helps to limit the effect of light on sensitive aromatic components and supports the longer-term preservation of their fragrance and functional properties. For very strong or unconventional formulations, however, we recommend performing your own compatibility test – fill a smaller amount of product, monitor any changes to the packaging and verify that the dropper dispenses evenly and without leakage.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend disposing of it through the standard separated collection system according to the material types specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in the glass container once product residues and labels have been removed. The closure, dropper or other additional components (plastic, rubber or possibly metal) should be separated and sorted according to local rules for each material. Before recycling, we recommend rinsing the packaging and removing any significant product residues in order to facilitate its further processing in the recycling process.
The easiest way to choose suitable packaging is to use the advanced filter in the relevant category on Handymade. After clicking on the packaging category, you will find at the top of the page the option to filter according to several parameters. You can select a specific neck, the desired size, colour and material of the packaging, so that only those products that meet your requirements are displayed. In this way, you can easily filter bottles, medicine bottles, jars or pots that are suitable for the consistency and character of your formulation.
