BTMS, that is Behentrimonium Methosulfate, is a conditioning and softening emulsifier that is ideal for use in hair or facial cosmetics. It is a plant-based emulsifying wax made from rapeseed oil or palm oil.

Be sure to add it to your shampoo and conditioner formulations if you need to achieve softness, smoothness and hydration. In addition, it helps with detangling hair and reduces static electricity that arises during combing, so it will certainly become your favourite helper.

BTMS is a very mild cationic emulsifier, so it is suitable for use in rinse-off products as well as in leave-in products.
It is added to the oil phase.

An emulsifier is a substance that makes it possible to create a homogeneous mixture from otherwise immiscible liquids, e.g. water and oil. By adding an emulsifier to a mixture of water and oil, an emulsion is formed. These are for example creams, body milks, shaving emulsions, cleansing oils and everything that contains oil and water.

Formulation pH: 5-7
Usage rate: 0,1 - 10%

All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use.
