The glass jar with a clear body and white plastic top is a professional packaging solution suitable for filling various cosmetic products, balms, or concentrated blends where purity, stability, and aesthetic workmanship are important. The combination of glass and a plastic lid creates a practical and hygienic container that is ideal for products sensitive to contamination during everyday use.
This jar is suitable for packaging both thicker and semi-liquid formulations such as creams, ointments, gels, or scrubs that require stable and chemically resistant packaging. The glass material minimizes interaction with the contents, making it a suitable choice even for formulas with a higher proportion of active ingredients, oils, or aromatic components.
Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing, and the behavior of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) so that you can be sure that the chosen container and closure system fully meet the needs of your product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the jar can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the container mechanically (to remove residues of the original product) and then disinfect it with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry completely and only then refill it.
Before the first filling, we recommend checking the jar and lid to ensure that they are not mechanically damaged, and then cleaning them of dust or manufacturing residues. It is advisable to first wash them in warm water with a gentle detergent, rinse thoroughly, and then disinfect the inner surface and contact areas with disinfectant alcohol (e.g. IPA or ethanol). After disinfection, allow the glass container and plastic lid to dry completely at room temperature in a clean place and only then fill them with the final product.
When choosing suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the advanced filter, you can conveniently select according to important parameters such as neck type, size, color, or packaging material. This allows you to quickly narrow down the selection and find the bottle, jar, or vial that best matches the characteristics of your product and the intended dosing method.
Glass is generally a very stable and inert material that is also suitable for formulations containing vegetable oils and natural essential oils. Nevertheless, we always recommend performing at least a short storage test of your specific formula in the chosen packaging in order to verify long-term stability, unchanging color, fragrance, and consistency of the product, as well as trouble-free closing and opening of the lid during normal use.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend, after emptying and basic cleaning, sorting it into separate collection according to the material of each part. The glass body of the packaging is normally placed in the container designated for glass, and the plastic lid belongs in the container for plastics (according to local waste-sorting rules). Before placing it into separate collection, it is advisable to remove any product residues and, if required by the local recycling system, any labels. Always adapt specific recycling recommendations to the information given for the packaging in the product parameters and to the rules of your collection system.
This type of glass jar is particularly suitable for thicker and semi-solid preparations that are applied with fingers or a spatula – for example lip balms, ointments, body butters, creams, scrubs, or clay masks. The wide mouth of the container makes it easy to scoop out even thicker product and at the same time facilitates filling in both small and larger production. For thin, highly liquid products, it is more practical to choose a bottle with a dropper, pump, or spray.
