The glass jar with an elegant metal lid is a high-quality container suitable for packaging creamy, gel-based and loose products where hygienic protection, stability and a representative appearance are important. The smooth inner walls make both filling and complete emptying of the contents easier, which you will appreciate for cosmetic formulations as well as for artisanal production of personal care products.
The jar’s solid glass body provides good mechanical resistance and helps protect more sensitive formulations from environmental influences. The combination of glass and a metal lid looks professional and timeless, making it suitable for branded as well as smaller artisanal product ranges.
Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) so that you can be sure the solution will work reliably with your particular product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the jar can be used repeatedly if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned of residues of the previous product and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and extends the safe usability of your formulations.
The easiest way is to use the advanced filter after clicking on the selected packaging category. At the top of the category, you will find a clear filtering panel where you can select based on several parameters – especially neck type, size, colour and material. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range to those containers that meet the technical and design requirements of your specific product.
Before the first filling, we recommend visually inspecting the jar, removing any dust and then washing it in a suitable washing solution or with a mild detergent. After rinsing with clean water, it is advisable to allow the container to dry thoroughly and, before the final filling, disinfect it, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Disinfection helps reduce microbial load and supports the stability of the final product.
The design and material construction of the jar make it suitable both for home projects and personal use, and for smaller artisanal brands or limited product series. The glass body combined with the aesthetic lid looks professional on retail shelves, in e-shops and in gift sets. When selling final products, always take into account the legislative requirements applicable to your product type (for example cosmetics or other regulated segments).
If you decide not to use the jar further, we recommend, after emptying and basic cleaning, placing it in sorted waste according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass container is usually placed in the bin designated for packaging glass, and the metal or plastic lid in the relevant bin according to the material type. Always follow local waste sorting rules and the information provided with the product so that recycling is as effective as possible.
The jar is optimal mainly for creamy, semi-solid and thicker formulations – for example face and body creams, butters, balms, scrubs or masks. Thanks to the wide opening, the contents can be conveniently taken out with fingers or a spatula and the container allows precise emptying almost down to the last dose. For very liquid products, you may consider using bottles with a dosing closure, dropper or pump, which you can find in the relevant packaging categories.
