The flat cotton wick with thin wound fibers is made by processing paper fiber in combination with advanced braiding technique, therefore they give the EKO series excellent stability without the need for a core. This combination increases the self-cleaning effect and reduces the formation of the so-called mushrooming (the burnt wick does not fray and no deposits of a mushroom-like shape are formed on it), soot and smoke. EKO wicks work very well in natural waxes and blends, as well as in paraffin waxes with a low melting point.

For the correct selection of the wick it is important to know the diameter of the container for the candle. In the case of a small size your candle will not burn through to the edge and will create a so-called tunnel. In the case of a too strong wick there will be excessive melting of the wax and the whole candle will be melted instead of the wax melting gradually and evenly.
