FAQ – Frequently asked questions

You offer many types of packaging – how can I find the right one for my product?

To choose a suitable bottle, vial, jar or dispenser, we recommend using the extended filter in the packaging categories. You can adjust the products according to several parameters – especially by neck type, size, colour and material. In this way you quickly narrow down the range to the packaging that is most suitable for your formulation and the required dispensing method.

Is it possible to reuse this bottle with dispenser?

The packaging can be reused provided that basic hygiene principles are followed and the type of the original filling is taken into account. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and degradation of the new formulation. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry thoroughly and only then refill the bottle.

How should I properly clean the bottle and dispenser before further use?

First completely empty the packaging and dismantle the accessible parts (bottle, pump, possibly the inner tube). Remove product residues by rinsing with lukewarm water and a suitable cleaning agent that is compatible with the packaging material. Then rinse the packaging with clean water so that no cleaner residues remain. After mechanical cleaning we recommend disinfecting the surface and internal parts with alcohol-based preparations, for example with isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol. After disinfection, allow all components to dry freely at room temperature and only then reassemble and fill them.

How can I test the compatibility of my recipe with this packaging?

Before series filling we recommend performing a short internal compatibility test. Fill a smaller amount of your formulation into the bottle, close the packaging with the dispenser and monitor its behaviour over several days to weeks under the planned storage conditions. Check in particular any changes in colour, odour, viscosity, the functionality of dispensing and any softening or deformation of the material. For formulations with a higher content of solvents, essential oils or with extreme pH values, thorough testing is especially important.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle the packaging if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the bottle with dispenser, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. First empty the packaging as much as possible and, where possible, separate the individual components (bottle body, pump, cap). Sort each part into the appropriate container according to the material marking. By proper sorting you contribute to efficient recycling of plastic packaging and to reducing the amount of waste going to landfill. If you are not sure about the specific recycling symbol, check the parameter table for the product or follow the waste sorting rules in your municipality.
