Plastic bottle with disc top closure represents a practical and reliable packaging for various liquid formulations where controlled dosing and convenient application are important. Thanks to the durable plastic material, the bottle is suitable for packaging cosmetic preparations as well as homemade blends where you require easy handling, low weight and good protection of the contents against external influences. The disc top closure enables hygienic and more precise dosing, thereby reducing the risk of contamination and unwanted spillage during use and transport.
The combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation). Thorough testing will help you verify whether the packaging meets the requirements for long-term stability, application comfort and safe transport of the final product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The bottle can be used repeatedly provided that you follow basic hygiene rules and monitor any signs of wear of the packaging or the closure. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for this purpose. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. When reusing, always check the functionality of the disc top mechanism and the integrity of the material.
Before the next filling, we recommend first rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent or with warm water and a mild detergent, rinsing it thoroughly with clean water and letting it dry completely. It is then appropriate to disinfect the inner surface and the closure using alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. When cleaning, avoid aggressive solvents that are not recommended for the given type of plastic, in order not to reduce the stability of the packaging.
The suitability of the packaging for food-grade use or internal use (for example liquid food supplements or tinctures) depends on its material specification and certificates. Please check this information in the product parameters and in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate. Only if the documentation states that the packaging meets the requirements for contact with food may it be used for such purposes. Otherwise, we recommend limiting its use to cosmetic and technical formulations.
If you decide not to use the bottle any longer, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules. The specific method of recycling is determined by the type of plastic stated in the parameter table for the product (recycling symbol of the material). Before being placed in sorted waste, the packaging should be emptied as much as possible and, if necessary, rinsed out. You can recycle the closure together with the bottle or separately, according to the recommendations of your collection system. If the material labelling allows, the packaging is sorted into the appropriate plastics fraction.
To select a suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. Using the filter, it is possible to sort the packaging according to several parameters, such as the type of neck, desired size, colour or material. By combining these filters, you quickly narrow down the offer to packaging that best matches your formulation, the desired type of dosing and the visual character of the final product.
When filling, we recommend using clean working tools and ensuring the lowest possible direct contact of the contents with the surrounding environment in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination. After filling, close the bottle carefully and check the sealing of the disc top closure. Store in a dry, cooler and shaded place, protected from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Avoid long-term exposure to significant temperature fluctuations, which may affect the stability of the product as well as of the plastic packaging itself.
