The dispenser is designed primarily for liquid and slightly viscous products such as body lotions, shower gels or lighter emulsions. For very thick creams, we recommend carrying out a trial filling and testing whether the dosing runs smoothly and without excessive resistance. If necessary, it is advisable to adjust the viscosity of the formula or choose another type of packaging.

The dispenser can be reused if basic hygiene principles are followed. Before the first filling and with every reuse, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the entire packaging (bottle and dispenser), rinse it with a suitable medium and then disinfect it. For disinfection we recommend using, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely so that no unwanted moisture gets into the final product.

When assembling the dispenser, check that the neck of the bottle is clean, dry and undamaged. Screw the dispenser straight on, without excessive cross-threading, until you feel light resistance from the seal. It is not necessary to use excessive force – this could damage the thread or sealing surfaces. After screwing on, we recommend filling the packaging with a small amount of product, pressing the dispenser several times and verifying that the system dispenses smoothly and without seepage around the neck.

If you decide not to reuse the dispenser, we recommend recycling it according to the material type indicated in the product parameters for the specific packaging on the Handymade website. Before handing it over for separate collection, it is advisable to remove any remaining contents – press out as much of the remaining product as possible and wipe off any residues with a paper towel. Then sort the dispenser into the appropriate collection container according to the material designation in the parameter table. In this way you support the reuse of raw materials and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
