Glass medicine bottle with ribbed safety cap represents a practical and reliable packaging for a wide range of liquid and drop-based preparations. Thanks to high-quality workmanship and precise closure, it is suitable for professional as well as home use wherever protection of the contents, cleanliness and comfortable application are important. The opaque white glass helps to minimise light penetration to sensitive formulations and contributes to their longer-term stability. The safety cap with a safety ring reduces the risk of unintentional opening and supports controlled dosing.
The glass bottle itself is compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems according to the selected product parameters. Depending on the specific neck and application, it can be combined, for example, with screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators for targeted application.
The packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – focusing in particular on sealing, uniformity of dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, presence of alcohol, oils and active substances).

The glass medicine bottle is suitable for most common liquid and slightly thicker oil or serum preparations intended for external use. For very thick or gel-like formulations, we recommend first trying a small test amount, checking smooth outflow or dosing, and then, if necessary, choosing a suitable type of closure or dropper from the Handymade range.
The glass bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, any residues of the original product removed, and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol. For disinfection you can use products available on Handymade: IPA 99 – isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the packaging has completely dried and aired out is it suitable to refill it with a new formulation.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the types of materials used, as stated in the product parameters. The glass body of the medicine bottle is generally intended for sorting into the glass container after thorough emptying and basic cleaning of any remaining contents. The cap made of plastic or composite materials must be sorted according to the marking in the parameter table and local waste separation rules. Before handing over for collection, it is recommended to separate the individual parts of the packaging (glass separately, plastic cap separately), thereby supporting more efficient recycling.
The safety ring on the cap is a safety feature that, upon first opening, creates a visible separation between the closure and its locking part. This helps to indicate whether the packaging has already been opened and reduces the risk of unintentional release of the contents during storage or transport. This type of closure is particularly suitable for products where control over the first opening is important, for selling finished preparations, or for sending parcels to the end customer.

Using it, you can clearly sort the packaging according to several parameters – for example by neck type, size, colour or material. This makes it easy to choose a combination that will best correspond to the properties of your product and the intended method of application.
