Product description

Glass bottle, dropper bottle, white, white-gold dropper, 30 ml

A white glass dropper bottle with a white-gold dropper is a complete packaging and closure set for precise drop-by-drop dispensing of liquid cosmetics. It is especially suited for facial serums, face and beard oils, essential oil blends, ampoule treatments and hair scalp tinctures. The bottle and dropper share the same thread type, so they fit together without testing and there is no need to search for a matching closure.

White glass blocks light from reaching the contents. This is an advantage for plant-based oils and active ingredients that lose efficacy or change colour and scent when exposed to light. It also has a clean, neutral appearance, which suits own-brand products where the label should stand out against a single-colour background. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

Key benefits

  • Protection of contents from light – white opaque glass limits light exposure to the contents, extending the stability of oils, vitamins and light-sensitive extracts.
  • Drop-by-drop dispensing – the dropper takes exactly as much as you need, without spilling and without finger contact with the contents. With more expensive serums, nothing is wasted.
  • Matching set – the bottle and dropper share the same thread, and the glass tube reaches the bottom of the bottle, so the contents can be used down to the very last drops.
  • Chemical resistance of glass – glass does not react with oils, essential oils or alcohol-based solutions, does not stain and does not absorb scents. It is therefore suitable for concentrated blends as well.
  • Consistent appearance – the combination of white and gold gives a finished look without the need for additional decoration.

How the set works

The dropper consists of a glass tube, a white squeeze bulb and a threaded collar that screws onto the bottle neck the same way as a regular cap. When tightened, the collar seals the packaging. To dispense, squeeze the bulb, submerge the tube in the contents, release and drip the drawn volume onto your palm or directly onto the skin. The contents come out drop by drop and the remainder stays in the bottle without unnecessary exposure to air.

The dropper is suitable for liquid, thin to moderately viscous fillings: oils, water-based and oil-based serums, alcohol tinctures and thin emulsions. Thick gels, creams and heavy balms cannot be drawn up through the narrow tube. For these, choose a different type of closure.

When filling, leave space in the neck for the dropper tube. If you fill the bottle to the brim, the contents will overflow through the thread when the dropper is screwed on and the closure will not seal.

Nominal and total volume

Two volumes are stated for packaging. Nominal volume is the volume the packaging is intended for during normal filling and the volume stated on the finished product label. Total brimful volume is the physical volume of the packaging up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve – space for the dropper tube, an air cushion and potential expansion of the contents when temperature changes. Always fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Exact values for both volumes can be found in the product parameters.

Good to know

Preparation before first filling. We recommend washing the bottle and dropper before use, disinfecting them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allowing them to dry completely. Traces of water in an oil-based filling promote microbial growth and cloudiness. Rinse the glass tube with alcohol on the inside as well; the bulb should not be soaked – wiping it is sufficient.

Reuse. The glass bottle can be reused after thorough washing and disinfection. With the dropper, monitor the condition of the bulb and seal. If the bulb hardens, softens or loses its shape, replace the dropper; otherwise it will not draw properly or seal. With concentrated essential oils and alcohol-based solutions, we recommend testing the bulb behaviour on one unit before a larger batch.

Labelling. The cylindrical shape of the dropper bottle provides a flat surface for a label around the entire circumference. Dimensions suitable for a label can be found in the product parameters. A white background will enhance both colourful and minimalist graphics.

Glass and heat. Do not pour hot oils or blends straight from a heat source into the bottle; a sudden change in temperature may damage the glass. Allow the contents to cool to at least room temperature.

Closures and combinations. If you want to use the bottle with a different closure, choose from closures with the same thread type as stated in the parameters. Ready-made combinations and individual closures are available in the Handymade range. With your own combination, we recommend checking the seal, dispensing and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation.

The set is not intended for contact with food. Use it for cosmetic preparations only. For home-made oils or syrups, choose packaging with the relevant certification.

Recycling. Return the glass bottle to glass collection. The dropper is a combination of plastic, silicone, aluminium and glass, so disassemble it before disposal where possible – the glass tube goes to glass, the collar with bulb to plastics or metals depending on the predominant material.

Frequently asked questions

Does the white glass bottle protect the contents from light?
Yes, the white glass of this bottle is opaque and does not let light through to the contents. It is therefore suitable for plant-based oils, vitamin serums and extracts that oxidise more quickly or change colour in light. Unlike clear glass, you cannot see the contents, which should be taken into account for products where the appearance of the filling is part of the presentation.
How much can be filled into the 30 ml bottle with dropper?
The bottle is filled to the nominal volume of 30 ml, not to the brim. The remaining space up to the neck is a reserve for the dropper tube and air. If you fill it completely, the contents will overflow through the thread when the closure is screwed on. The exact total brimful volume is stated in the product parameters.
Is the dropper suitable for oils with essential oils?
Yes, the glass tube and glass bottle are resistant to essential oils and do not absorb scents. The more sensitive part is the silicone bulb, which may change elasticity with prolonged contact with concentrated essential oils or alcohol. For such fillings, we recommend testing the behaviour on one unit and replacing the dropper when it no longer draws well.
Can the bottle with dropper be used for water-based serums and tonics?
Yes, the glass and dropper are suitable for water-based, alcohol-based and oil-based fillings. Water-based serums require adequate preservation, as the dropper comes into contact with the skin and air with each use. For thin tonics applied in larger quantities, however, a spray is more practical than drop-by-drop dispensing.
How are the bottle and dropper cleaned before reuse?
Wash the bottle with warm water and a small amount of detergent, rinse, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave to air dry upside down. Rinse the dropper's glass tube with alcohol by drawing it in and releasing it several times, and wipe the bulb on the outside. Everything must be completely dry before the next filling, otherwise water will get into the contents.
Is this set also suitable for food-grade oils and syrups?
No, the set is not approved for contact with food and is used exclusively for cosmetic preparations. Both the bottle and dropper have suitability for contact with cosmetics and the declaration of conformity can be found with the product. For home-made oils, syrups or herbal extracts, choose packaging that states suitability for contact with food in its parameters.
