Product description
A glass bottle with a volume of 30 ml and a white-gold dropper is a complete set for liquid products that are dispensed drop by drop – facial serums, oil blends, concentrates of active ingredients or tinctures. Milky frosted glass transmits less light than clear glass, partially protecting the contents, while the level remains visible when held up to the light so you know how much product is left. The glass pipette of the dropper allows precise dosing without finger contact with the contents, which is particularly advantageous with concentrated formulations where only a few drops are used at a time.
The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products, the declaration of conformity is available with the product. It is not intended for food use.
What the set offers
- Light attenuation – the frosted glass surface scatters light and reduces its penetration to the contents. For raw materials sensitive to light (vegetable oils with a higher proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, certain active ingredients) this helps slow down changes, but does not replace dark glass or storage away from direct sunlight.
- Chemically stable glass – both the bottle and the dropper tube are made of glass, so they can also be used for contents that don't tolerate plastic well: essential oil blends, alcoholic tinctures or oil concentrates.
- Controlled dosing – the silicone bulb draws in and releases exactly the amount you need. The contents don't spill and you don't touch them, which reduces the risk of contaminating the product.
- Clean appearance – a white cap with a gold ring and frosted glass suit light-coloured labels and a minimalist brand design.
What products it's suitable for
The dropper is intended for liquid and low-viscosity contents. It works well with water-based and oil-based facial serums, face, beard or cuticle oils, diluted essential oil blends, active ingredient concentrates and herbal tinctures. The volume of 30 ml corresponds to the standard size of a serum or facial oil.
The set is not suitable for thick gels, creams and emulsions with higher viscosity – the dropper will not draw them up or will dispense unevenly. It is equally unsuitable for products intended to be sprayed.
Nominal volume and volume to the brim
For each container we state two volumes. The nominal volume is the volume for which the bottle is intended at standard filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve – in this set it is taken up by the dropper tube, which when screwed in pushes some of the contents upward, and at the same time leaves space for the contents to expand with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim.
When filling, leave free space in the neck and screw the dropper in slowly. If the bottle is filled to the brim, the contents will overflow through the thread when the dropper is inserted and the closure will then seal poorly.
Filling, cleaning and reuse
Before first filling, wash the container, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Rinse the glass dropper tube with ethanol and dry it; do not soak the silicone bulb in solvents for extended periods. Glass tolerates washing in warm water and repeated use, so the bottle can be cleaned and refilled. When changing the contents, it is advisable to replace the dropper if it has drawn residues of the previous product into the bulb.
Store the bottle upright. When lying on its side, the contents reach the bulb, where with concentrated essential oils or alcoholic contents the silicone may change properties over time. We recommend verifying the compatibility of the bulb with a specific formulation on a single piece before a larger series.
Do not pour the hot phase into the glass bottle. A sudden temperature difference may damage the glass. Allow the contents to cool to approximately room temperature before filling.
The bottle is made of glass and once emptied belongs in glass waste. The dropper is a combination of plastic, aluminium, glass and silicone, and should therefore be separated from the bottle before recycling.
The set is supplied with the dropper that belongs to the bottle. If you want a different type of closure, choose from the Handymade range a closure with the same neck type as stated in the parameters. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal, dosing and behaviour of the container with the specific formulation.
