Product description
Glass bottle, vial, white, with white pump dispenser 30 ml
White glass vial with dispenser is a complete set for creams, facial emulsions and thicker serums that are meant to be dispensed without opening the packaging and without finger contact with the contents. The opaque white glass shields the contents from light, which you will appreciate for formulations with vegetable oils, vitamins or essential oils that lose their efficacy and scent faster in light. The 30 ml volume suits an eye cream, facial serum or a smaller package for testing a new formulation.
The dispenser delivers approximately the same dose with each press, so both the customer and the manufacturer know how much product is actually used. The contents remain in the bottle separated from air and impurities better than in a pot that is dipped into with a finger. Both parts of the set, the glass and the polypropylene dispenser, are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics.
What the set is suitable for
- Facial creams and emulsions – O/W and W/O emulsions of medium consistency that can be dispensed with the pump and spread immediately.
- Eye creams and serums – small doses for a sensitive area where precise dosing matters more than speed of application.
- Creams with light-sensitive active ingredients – for example with vitamin C in oil form or plant extracts, which the opaque glass protects from light.
- Samples and test batches – 30 ml is enough to verify the stability and behaviour of a formulation before larger-scale production.
- Liquid foundations and tinted creams – the dispenser doses evenly and packaging containing pigmented contents does not need to be transparent.
Nominal and total volume
The nominal volume of 30 ml is the quantity for which the bottle is designed under normal filling. The total volume to the brim, stated in the parameters, is the physical volume of the glass up to the neck. The difference between them provides a reserve for the tube and pump mechanism and for expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Therefore, fill only to the nominal volume, never to the brim. An overfilled bottle will overflow at the neck when the dispenser is screwed on, or the contents will get into the thread and the dispenser will not seal properly.
One press of the dispenser delivers approximately 0.14 ml. With 30 ml of contents, this corresponds to over 200 doses, which helps when estimating consumption and writing usage instructions.
What is useful to know when filling
The cream dispenser is designed for products that can be pumped. Very firm balms, butters or creams with a high wax content will not be drawn up through the tube and the mechanism will stay empty. Very thin serums and tonics, on the other hand, flow out of the cream dispenser faster than is comfortable when pressed, and are better suited to a dropper bottle or spray. We recommend testing the formulation consistency with the complete set before filling the entire batch.
Before first use, wash the bottle, disinfect it with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely. Residual water in the glass would dilute anhydrous products and unnecessarily burden the preservation system of emulsions. The dispenser only needs to be rinsed with clean alcohol and left to dry. Fill emulsions after cooling: hot contents in cold glass can crack the bottle and heat also damages the plastic parts of the dispenser.
With products containing particles (exfoliating beads, larger pieces of plant extracts, undissolved pigments) the dispenser valve may clog. If the formulation sediments, consider thickening it or using a different type of packaging. After first use, the dispenser draws up the contents only after several presses, which is normal for pump dispensers with a tube. It is worth including one sentence about this in the usage instructions.
The set is not approved for contact with food. It is intended exclusively for cosmetic products.
The bottle can be reused; the glass withstands repeated washing and disinfection. The dispenser may stiffen after prolonged use with oil-based products, so rinse and test it when refilling. Once empty, the glass goes into glass recycling and the polypropylene dispenser into plastics. Both parts can be separated by unscrewing.
Closures with the same neck type as stated in the parameters, as well as other ready-made packaging and closure combinations, are available in the Handymade range. For a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing and behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation.
