The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and product spoilage. For disinfection, we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. In the Handymade range you will find the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and 96 % denatured plant-based ethanol, which are suitable for disinfecting packaging in home production. After cleaning, let all parts dry completely and only then refill the packaging.

Before repeated use, we recommend disassembling the packaging into individual parts, removing residues of the original product and washing the bottle with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Afterwards, it is appropriate to carry out disinfection – for example by rinsing or spraying the inner surface and components with an alcohol solution. As a disinfectant, you can use isopropyl alcohol available on the page IPA 99 isopropyl alcohol 1 l or the plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 denatured plant-based 1 l. After disinfection, let all parts air dry at room temperature and only then use the packaging again.

If you decide not to use the packaging repeatedly, we recommend recycling it according to the information on the material stated in the parameter table for the product on Handymade. Before disposal, remove as much of the remaining contents from the packaging as possible and sort the individual parts according to material type. Plastic components usually belong in the container intended for plastics; for combined materials, follow local waste sorting rules. By correctly placing the packaging into the appropriate collection container, you support effective recycling and reduce the amount of mixed waste.

The plastic packaging is designed for use at normal room temperatures; it is not suitable for exposure to high heat. It is not recommended to leave the bottle near radiant heat sources, in an overheated car, or to expose it to hot water. In case of excessive heating, the plastic may soften or deform, which can affect the tightness and the function of the spray pump. The packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. The safest way is to clean it by hand in lukewarm water and with gentle mechanical handling.
