It is then advisable to disinfect both the bottle and the cap with one of the recommended disinfectants, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After completely drying, the packaging is ready for refilling.

Before filling, we recommend working in the cleanest environment possible and using disinfected tools such as funnels or dosing cylinders. It is advisable to wash, rinse and disinfect both the bottle and the flip-top cap before use. During pouring, try not to touch the neck of the bottle with your hands or with any working tools that have not been disinfected. After filling, it is important to close the bottle immediately in order to minimise contact of the contents with air and dust.

For cleaning, we recommend using lukewarm water and a mild detergent, then rinsing the bottle thoroughly with clean water. Avoid aggressive cleaners and highly abrasive sponges that could scratch the surface. The plastic material should not be exposed to high temperatures, therefore do not wash the packaging in a dishwasher and do not boil it, in order to prevent unwanted deformation or weakening of the material. After washing, allow the bottle to dry at room temperature, ideally standing upside down on a clean surface.

If you decide not to use the bottle any further, we recommend, where possible, recycling it according to the type of plastic specified in the product parameters. Before disposal, empty any remaining contents, rinse the packaging and sort it into the appropriate plastic container in accordance with local waste separation rules. The cap and the bottle body are generally made of plastics that can be recycled, but always follow the material designation in the parameter table for the specific product on the Handymade website.
