Product description

The plastic bottle with flip-top cap represents a practical and hygienic solution for packaging various liquid cosmetic preparations. Thanks to the durable plastic material, this bottle is suitable for packaging liquid and slightly gel-like formulations that require easy one-handed opening and closing. The shape of the container is adapted for repeated handling, storage in the bathroom, salon or workshop and allows an overview of the filling level.

Combinations of packaging and caps that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Can this plastic bottle be reused?

The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination. For disinfection we recommend using technical alcohol, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based, and allowing the packaging to dry completely before refilling.

How should the plastic bottle be properly cleaned before further use?

First rinse the packaging with lukewarm water, optionally with a mild cleaning agent suitable for contact with the given type of contents. We then recommend rinsing the bottle with an alcohol-based disinfectant solution (e.g. IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based) and allowing it to dry completely at room temperature. The packaging is not suitable for boiling or for aggressive mechanical cleaning which could damage the surface.

How can this plastic packaging be safely disposed of and recycled if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend first emptying it and removing any coarse product residues. Subsequent recycling is governed by the material indicated in the parameter table for the specific product on the Handymade website. According to this marking, place the cleaned bottle into the appropriate sorted waste stream. In this way you will support the efficient processing of plastic packaging and reduce the amount of municipal waste.

Is this bottle suitable for hot or very warm fillings?

The plastic packaging is not intended for filling with very hot mixtures or for exposure to high temperatures. When the recommended temperature range is exceeded, the bottle may gradually deform, the sealing of the cap may deteriorate and the mechanical properties of the plastic may change. We recommend filling only cooled or lukewarm formulations and not exposing the packaging to the direct vicinity of heat sources.

Can I wash this plastic bottle in a dishwasher or boil it?

The packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. High temperature and long-term exposure to hot water or steam can lead to deformation, loss of dimensional stability and deterioration of the functionality of the cap. We recommend manual cleaning with lukewarm water, optionally with a mild cleaning agent, followed by disinfection with an alcohol-based preparation.
